Interested in learning more about the history of the Hall House?
Join us on February 9th at 6 pm for an intimate wine-and-cheese social hour, a free and engaging history lesson about the home, its early 19th-century origins, the families who lived there, its lasting place in our community, and you’ll have a chance to meet and mingle with some of our experienced docents.
You’ll also learn how you can help keep the home’s stories alive and support HSF’s mission of preservation through volunteer opportunities, including the Hall House docent program. If you enjoy history and connecting with others, this is a great way to get involved.
Space is limited - Reserve your spot early!

Most docents volunteer one Saturday afternoon per month during regular Open Hours 1-4pm. Occasionally you may only be needed once every two months and if you can’t volunteer at all sometimes, that is fine! There is no pressure! Docent volunteers sign up monthly for the Saturday that works best for them. If any month is not convenient, we always have your back and there will be other volunteers willing to step in. We occasionally schedule group tours as well and you will also be offered the opportunity to lead these groups if you wish. The Hall House is closed in January and February.
Yes! We have couples sign up to volunteer together during October Tour and many of our regular docents have friends they love to work with regularly! Scheduling friends and family together is no problem!
